Nestled on the shores of Miners Bay, MayneWave is a lovingly restored heritage log cabin dating back to circa 1900. Thoughtfully renovated in 2021, it preserves the warmth and character of its history while offering all the comforts of contemporary living.
The cabin takes its name from the water that surrounds it. Every fifteen minutes, the gentle wake of a BC Ferry reaches the beach just 50 metres away—a quiet reminder that life moves a little differently on Mayne Island. During the winter months, a natural spring emerges nearby, cascading over stone steps before flowing into the ocean.

Many guests choose to travel without a vehicle, enjoying a relaxing ferry journey before following the recently completed pedestrian and cycling pathway from the ferry terminal. The cabin is about a 30-minute walk or a short bicycle ride, making it easy to arrive without the cost or hassle of bringing a car on the ferry.

However you choose to travel, getting here is part of the adventure. Scheduled float plane service lands nearby, and the Government Dock is just minutes away for guests arriving by private boat.
